ABOUT BCAT

Vision

Brooklyn Community Access Television (BCAT) gives Brooklynites the tools and know-how to professionally create and cablecast their own television programs, and produces non-commercial television programs that reflect the borough's diversity of thought and culture. Through four public access channels, a media education center and video production facility, and three special programming initiatives, BCAT provides a voice for all the people of Brooklyn. BCAT is the media arts program of BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn, a multi-disciplinary arts and media non-profit dedicated to presenting visual, performing and media arts programs that are reflective of Brooklyn’s diverse communities and to supporting the creative proccess.

BCAT's ongoing services and programs include the Center for Media Education at BCAT (CME); Brooklyn Free Speech TV; Brooklyn Independent Television (BIT); and Brooklyn Bulletin Board.
