Program Description:
Making Art Work is Brooklyn Independent Television's new collaboration with the Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) featuring the BAC/ Independence Professional Development Seminars for the Arts, sponsored by the Independence Community Foundation.
These seminars are designed to help artists and arts organizations of all disciplines further their professional development skills so that they may more effectively respond to their audiences and constituents. Each year, BAC partners with expert individuals and representatives of organizations to provide up-to-date information about a range of practical concerns facing artists as well as arts and nonprofit organizations. Seminar presenters include professionals from a range of fields related to the arts and arts management. Topics include funding opportunities, legal issues, marketing, and business issues pertaining to the management of one's work or within small arts organizations.
