Possible Fireworks
Each month a renowned jazz musician is invited to assemble a dream band. The catch: they’ve never played together before and there's no rehearsal! Guitarist Brandon Ross, of the electric "future folk" trio Harriet Tubman, and music director for Cassandra Wilson ’s albums, Blue Light Til Dawn and New Moon Daughter, performed with his dream band: Aaron Stewart (sax) and Tyshawn Sorey (drums). Sink or Swim (S.O.S.)
A variety show for the post-modern world, this series focuses on unusual and innovative dance, theater, aerial arts and puppetry. The season opened with Tiny Ninja Theater; choreography by Johannes Wieland; performance artist Tantra; and DJ percussionist Joshua Gabriel. Curated by Michelle Moskowitz.
