KIDSDAY
A Day-long Celebration Presented by
The Rotunda Gallery, The Brooklyn Historical Society,
Brooklyn Borough Hall,
the Brooklyn Heights Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library
and The New York Transit Museum.

11 - 5 PM RG View KIDSART, RG's annual exhibition of artworks created by children participating in the Gallery's Education Program, This kid's-eye view of contemporary art features drawing, painting and sculpture by New York City School children.

1 - 6 PM BPL Explore the Children's Room of the Brooklyn Public Library. Browse the library's collection of books, magazines, videos, computer software, register for library cards and view children's artwork by Brooklyn Historical Society After School programs.

11:00 - 12:15 PM RG BROOKLYN TIME WARP: Art Making Workshop - Using collage materials, markers and craypas children (6 and up) and adults work together to design and create their own wacky "Time Warp-ed" diorama. Reservations: 718-875-4047

11:00 - Noon BH THE BUILDING BROOKLYN BUILT: Architectural/Historical Tour -- Children and adults learn about architecture, design and Brooklyn history as they explore this magnificently-restored Greek Revival landmark. Participants join in an architectural "treasure" hunt for distinctive building details. Reservations: 718-875-4047

1:00 - 2:00 PM BPL BOBO THE HOBO -- Children's Room 2nd Floor -- Magic, stories and puppets!

1:00 -2:00 PM BPL THEN AND NOW: At Home In Brooklyn -- 1st Floor Auditorium -- Ever wonder what children's lives were like 100 years ago? Join us for a hands-on look at objects and documents that show how Brooklyn young people learned, worked and played long ago. Role-playing and dress-up are part of the interactive fun. Ages 6 and up. 1:30 - 2:45 PM RG ONE MORE TIME!: Art Making Workshop -- Create your own reusable printing plate and learn the art of color printing using readily available materials. Children (6 and up) and their parents will make a suite of multi-colored prints. Reservations: 718-875-4047

2:00 - 3:00 PM BPL OYFINK the CLOWN -- Just clowning around with balloons and songs and funny things!!

3:00 - 4:00 PM BPL BROOKLYN AT PLAY: The History of Games -- 1st Floor auditorium - How about a friendly round of Dominoes? Or playing Three Men's Morris and discovering its modern-day counterpart? 3:00 - 3:45PM TM VINNY VOLTAGE: FUN WITH SCIENCE -- Have you ever watched liquids change color or seen a balloon blow itself up right before your eyes? Vinny "Voltage" Vollono, New York City Transit engineer, amazes, amuses and astounds participants in this fun-filled workshop! Ages 6 and up. Reservations: 718-243-8601

3:00 - 4:00 PM BPL IT'S SHOWTIME!:- 1st floor auditorium -- Videos for children of all ages
